Default How much for whiplash these days?

Following on from someone running up the back of the car the solicitors have advised us that they are going to request £1900 for the injuries my wife suffered for her neck. This to me sounds a pathetic amount as she has been in pain for a couple of months with this and I know a neighbour of ours got around £3k for his whiplash..

I remember someone running up the back of me about twenty years ago when I'd not long passed my test (showing my age) and I got almost £1000 and I hardly had any pain at all.

Has anyone had whiplash as part of a car accident recently? If so, how much did you get?

Couple of years ago my ex got 2.5k iirc. That was their second offer.

this isn't even the insurance company, this is how much the solicitors want to ask for from the insurance company!

    Default £££

Me and my girlfriend got about 3k each a few of years ago...

Took me about 2 years to get mine though after 2 other pathetic offers!!! she was pregnant at the time and got it in about 6 months without even any lower offers.

I'm sure your solicitor could ask for a bit more than that, dont ask you dont get...

I dont think they have a set amount, depends on how severe your whiplash is,damage to car, reason for accident etc....

Does seem a bit low though - we got hit up the arse at a set of traffic lights few years ago, me and wife both got whiplash, both went for medicals etc but wife got £3200 i got £2300. Figure that out

It depends on alot of things, I only got £2k for mine a few years ago. It depends on things like on how bad the injury was, how long you have off work, medication, physio and other things!

For a minor accident £2k is about right!!!
