Companies like Warranty direct

Hi,

Due to having so many problems recently I was contemplating taking out a warranty. Warranty direct is no good for me as I have done over 100k.

So I found CLICK4WARRANTY who claim to cover wear & tear and the premium would be £250 a year.

What is to stop me taking out a policy then a month down the line saying I want the DMF or MAF sensor changing, when I already know there is a fault with them? They claim not to need service history also & will pay upto £3000 per year in claims. There does not appear to be any small print that would put me off.

sounds too good to be true IMHO

The money you'd spend on a warranty in the long term would be far more than paying for parts \ labour etc on the occasional job

Be very very careful, I've just been stung for £450 (3 year policy including wear and tear) It was my fault (I had the car serviced within 20k but they got me on the fact that its 20k miles or every year or whichever is sooner).

I was 2 weeks over due in time but 3k under mileage. They've kept the entire fee and won't refund anything.

It also took around 5 phonecalls to admit the 'wear and tear' was covered......

It sounds too good to be true and it is they will take your eyelids and swiftly move onto the next mug.

If your daft enough to pay out (like me) make sure your read ALL the small print because they'll get you on any technicality.
