Unhappy 3.o v6 cdti signum losing power

HELP!! my car has started playing up, it feels like the traction control is taking the power off me or its going in to safe mode, but here are no warning lights, its getting annoying now. Also when idling it sometimes throws a wobbler and sounds like there is a cylinder not firing, sorts itself out, shows me the engine management light for a while and is then fine,I'm confused any suggestions!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like it could be the throttle body. I had a 'flat spot' occasionally and typically around the 2,000rpm mark. This also sometimes developed into 'cutting out'. At idle, the rev counter would dip and rise between 300-900rpm for about 2-3seconds. Best thing is to get it plugged to a diagnostic if it had thrown up the fault light.

Having said that, mines is a 1.9CDTI.

TB's for the 1.9 150 are £380 but I wouldn't know what a 3.0 would be, but I would wait and see what the diagnostic says m8 if it's going in for a service - ask them to check it for you - will be an additional cost.

    What mileage is it on?
Which engine (code) does it have?
How many miles are left on the service indicator (if on ECOFlex)?

Have you tried checking hoses for splits?

Mainly check vacuum boost hoses and turbo hose. After reading many articles on here about them, it appears that these are the main ones that perish and split.

I would also check the rest to make sure.

Culprit was probably the fuel filter
The service schedule on this item is 20K miles / 30K miles, but clearly they do not last this long (may also lead to debris reaching the SCVs)
I now replace mine every 10K miles
