Default Calling FK AK coilover owners

Seems there are mixed views on this budget brand (and model) of coilovers - if you have experience of them please post in the poll

I'm trying to work out if the problems some have had are the exception, or if it's a poor quality kit.

    Cheers.

For the price it's decent kit.. but as with any performance upgrade.. weak spots will show themselves.. peeps keep going on about knocks/twangs etc..

Twangs.....spend an extra few quid and buy new top bearings.. or at least clean and regrease.. if you've replaced shocks/springs due to being worn, what makes you think the bearings are tip top?..stop being tight!

Knocks....guys.. fixed rate coilovers are known to be a hard ride.. any crap bushes/components are going to knock.. they were knackered before you put coilys on..you just didn't know...

    what's next? I've fitted a 4" decat zorst...and it's louder..

Is that all it is? so not a problem with the kit itself then ?

Not as far as I'm aware.. the ride is a little harsh over the bumpy stuff... but saying that if it was softer i'd complain that it was too soft on the nice smooth stuff lol.. I do get a very..and I mean very occasional twang from fronts.. but only going from lock to lock and I did only clean and regrease top bearings(have done 85k).. I'm well pleased with them

What about your auto headlight leveling, mine has stopped working after fitting the kit.

Do your headlights dip down then go up to level themselves out, being a GSi you have zenons, mine did but not now and i've got the symbol in the rev counter showing its not working.
As for the noises there was absolutely nothing wrong with bushes or bearings with the standard set up on, now putting some PI 45mm springs on instead.
It's a shame coz i really like the look of the car on the lowset setting.
