Centre Console Removal/Refit

Hey all,

In the ongoing endeavour to rid my LS of the blue interior (seats & door cards done) I've bought a charcoal centre console and glove box for a whopping £10!!!! I'm picking them up in the next hour (it's near where I work).

However - not seen a How2 but how easy is the centre console to change? I'm thinking of doing this in the warehouse at work tomorrow or Thursday night as working away from home so nothing better to do with my time.

Any tips or advice MOST welcome

I removed mine a few months back. Start at the back of the centre console, there's only 2 t18 or 20 torx screws and the 4 bolts that hold the arm rest. Then remove the cup holder and I think there either 1 or 2 screws there too. Cant remember what there was holding the actual console around the gear stick area but its all pretty easy to remove, just take your time.

Thanks for the advice, however now I've collected the item I've realised it's a non-armrest centre console, so not gonna fit it.

Still, the front part round the gear lever and radio is useable and the glove box so still a bargain for a tenner!

Could spray my back part and armrest black I guess, just worried about it looking wrong.
