    Default Sir Norman Wisdon dies.

This is a huge loss to comedy! I am totally gutted.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-11473192

Reading this nearly brought a tear to my eye.

As a child, I used to love watching his films and the one that stuck out the most was THE EARLY BIRD.

I take my hat off to you Sir Norman, you were a comedy great and one of my best ever actors.

I hope his sole rests in peace.

    Bye bye Vec B

I remember the story of him getting his knighthood. As he turned from the queen and began walking away, everyone present waited for his trademark stumble.......which he then did !
He turned back to see the queen with a broad grin on her face !!!
    Now THAT is style !!

It is sad, but at 95 and certainly until recently still active he did ok. Personally I only ever enjoyed his films when very young, but I did enjoy his guest role character in Last of the Summer Wine.
