What a pile of **** this " forum recommended" insurer is.

Got 5 minutes into getting a quote to then be told they won't insure my Vectra because I park it on the road outside my house, and not on a driveway or garage.

Just because I don't have a garage or driveway doesn't make me a tramp you know.

I cannot believe this company is promoted on this forum when they show this kind of prejudice.

Biggest load of ******** I have ever heard from an insurance company. NOT HAPPY.

TBH I can see where your coming from, I tried to get a quote from them in February and all they could tell me was "Sorry we're not competitive". The guy wouldn't even tell me how much it was.

Apparently they also can no longer insure cars that have had mods that add more than 20bhp! Well thats nearly all re-maps knackered

I ended up going to Adrian Flux and while there are a few bad stories about them this is usually down to their insurers

AF are great when you want to add mods too, no hassle or fuss

May try them again next year

I've just insured my other car with them as they were able to match my renewal but include modification cover as well.

Have been a previous customer as well 3 years ago and both times they've been very helpful and at least their call centre is in this country!

Bafoo, it could be due to your area that they can't insure you on the road. There are so many variables to insurance, there just can't be a flat yes or no for everyone.

Though I do agree there should be questions at the start of your quote to ascertain if you're likely to be declined before spending 5 minutes on the phone.

i had the same they wouldnt insure me because i live in manchester.

i'm not slating them, but they weren't competitive for me - I went with Adrian Flux who were a lot cheaper for a better policy!

ck were by far the best option for me again this year with all mods declared

Also tried them when I renewed and not only would they not insure Amy at all (she's a learner) but they were also nearly double my quote from Admiral. On top of that the guy on the phone was frankly up his own backside and seemed to be looking down on me from on high. They'll never get my business and I'll steer anyone I hear looking at them clear if I can.

I'm with them at the moment as they were the cheapest. AF just didn't want to know. We'll see who's the best come renewal time
