Over the weekend, as a special treat, I was filling the shotgun seat in a 3.2 gsi.
I couldn't help notice the difference in the doors, especially the rear doors. On the gsi they closed with a solid, heavy, reassuring clunk, whereas on my cdti they close with a bit of a light, hollow sound. The door closes fine, and I'm in no way worried it's gonna fall off or anything.

But I was just wondering why there is such a difference between the two, and what can I do to my cdti to get it sounding a bit more solid. Both cars are about the same age, however the gsi has about 100,000 more miles and has been ragged to within an inch of its life since delivery, mine has only been ragged scince i got it . I don't think the gsi has had a door replaced recently, if at all.
