If it has the colour screen, yeah it's worth it. And the trip computer can be activated with tech2/vaux-com.

The same system is still a £1250 option on an Astra.

£1250 you'd think for that it would take a full postcode!
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

If it doesn't accept full 7 digit postcodes, then it isn't worth any thing IMO. As you can get a standalone unit (eg Tomtom) for much less, I would go that route.

If it's the cd70 with screen then yes! I got quoted 900 just for screen, even if you sell it on!

I've seen/used many different types of satnav in my time.

The best (for me) so far is Road Angel

It's very simple to update (10 seconds once connected via USB) and does the usual satnav stuff, but also warns of these mobile and static money boxes

I called up Road Angel recently and Rachel advised me of a money saving tip. We pay £4 per month for the service they provide (all the camera updates), but they are doing a deal where you get 3 years updates for £49 Thats a huge saving!!!

    I also bought European mapping.

£50 and arrived the next day on an SD card, loaded into the satnav and it calculated the journey from my house to Pamplona (Basque region of Spain) at 844 miles

Thats 604 to Portsmouth, ferry to Santander and a further 240 miles to the destination

It'll be handy to know where all the damn camera's are

Ive just got a Signum with the nav70 system and colour screen and I think its brilliant. Its worth £300 to have a system thats permenantly fitted to your car and that has built in TMC warning you of any traffic issues, in the area or on route. I live in Manchester and it just works for me. Get in, push two buttons, check the list for any motoways i'm about to use, and set of safe in the knowledge I aint going to be stuck in traffic.

Easy, unlike the saga of remebering the tomtom in the first place because you cant leave it in the car these days, sticking it to the screen, wiggling the cig lighter adaptor about until its in that one spot where it actually works, straining against the seatbelt to reach the ****** to change any settings, having to turn the radio up and down to hear the directions, getting to the destination or services and having to unplug and hide it before leaving the car, not forgetting to wipe the ring marks off the screen. Never having it with you when you need it. Balls to all that!
