    Default Air filter Housings

    Are they the same on all cars? Ive a 52 2.2 sri and want to get rid of the K&N on the car at the moment...

    Looking at Mr Haynes manual, the 1.8 and 2.2 petrols are different to each other. The 3.2 is again, different.

    The diesels 1.9 SOHC and DOHC share the same airbox, but the 2.0 is different to them. The 2.2 diesel isn't shown.

    easiest way to know interchangeability is to look at ebay for a filter for your car and see the other ones listed with it

    Thanks very much for the info guys.... The one Ive seen is a 1.8 and mine is a 2.2 petrol so Ill stay clear.

    Really appreciate the help...

    Looking at EPC all the lower sections appear the same - only the uppers sections seem to vary depending on engine. But you never know if it's purely for ease of diagram.

    The p/n for the 2.2 (Z22SE, Z22YH) complete upper and lower is 917759.
