I hope u bought it at a absolute bargain price because i cant see this being cheap
I hope u bought it at a absolute bargain price because i cant see this being cheap
hence my sceptical question, sorry if its a genuine problem fair enough but i just thought it most odd that no keys were available
perhaps you can clairfy how you got the car from the repo people???
usually these cars are sold as seen at auctions on behalf of the finance company, then trailered/ transported to the delivery site, plus IIRC you need to be registered to buy them. In some cases they have damage from accessing them and repo'ing them.
Hi guys its all genuine and just wanted some advice thats all to it .. im taking a chance really on it.. was purchased genuinely at auction and is hpi clear but is a REPO, and took home on back of a trailer as sold without keys or logbook(but can apply for one)... something to do with assets recovery i think/ incorrect fuel in car
Thats the true story ...not trying to mislead anyone its just i had a few of these keys laying here and thought i could make use of them as would be cheaper than going to main dealer
i have to replace the driver window as smashed too and some dents but no too bad but dont mind that as thats the bit i can see i just hope thats all wrong with it but seeing it was a repo there couldnt but that much wrong with it..well i hoping anyway..

why dont you find out who the last registered keeper was and just ask them for the keys?
even offer to pay for them! it's got to be cheaper than the dealer option
That's how I would play it if i bought it ligit
That's an option, has the downside of last keeper then knowing who and where you are. Deleting the old keys on Op-Com advisable as you don't know how many sets are out there. If it was REPO without keys, maybe with wrong fuel, no-one at present knows if engine even runs, surely? Brave purchase, hope it works out.
Hi
I was also thinking this also but even if i could contact him..the guy might not be too keen on giving me anything let alone the keys since i have bought his car Any I have no logbook so have no name..also I tried the DVA but they wont give out the previous owners details..
I could wait for the new book to come in my name and his would be on it too but could take 2-4 weeks.
Anyone any ideas
Also i did mention incorrect fuel by which must be illegal fuel - he must have been driving on red diesel.
I dont know the story but are you fined or car impounded or something if caught driving on RED..maybe someone on here knows on this type of thing...probably have to clean tank out too...
Thanks

Hmmm all sounds very fishy, how did it get lifted the Alarm
would going spare and the steering locked etc.
Any reputable HP or Lease company would have had a
Key purchased and coded for the car thus increasing
its value st auctions.
How would you buy a car without a least seeing it
driven into the auction bidding area.!!!!!!
