Vectra - no key - need advice please

Hi All

Got a vectra here but have no keys at all with it..
Its a 2006 vectra exclusiv 150bhp..
I have other spare keys from similar models but i was wondering if the chip was the same is it possible to reprogram the chip in this so that it will start this car instead of going new

why no keys?

i suspect its a trip to Vx with the car pass

nope as far as i know they cant be programed to a diff car just go to vaux get a new key and ask them to program it for u as the key code/imob code should be on the car pass even if u dont have it vaux can get it for u

Normally from a repossession which is then sold on.

yes its bought at auction and was a repo...so no keys...ive 2 sets of spare keys for these particular models laying about here and thought it was just a little matter of reprogramming... so looks like off to the main dealer il have to go....
any idea what the going rate from start to finish on this from the dealer

I think I would go to the trouble and expence of changing the locks. I would hate to think there were keys out there that would fit my car.

just use opcom and delete the keys that were used wen u get the new key i think u can have up to 4 keys programed to it or see if any 1 near you has op-com and go get the new key and pass code and keycode and ask them to wipe the old key codes with op-com and program the new 1 for u
