Has anyone had experience with warranty direct?

Just looking at their site and the flywheel and inlet manifold are both covered so if these go the will sort it.

We used to do warranty claims for them at work, however like the majority of garages in our area we now no longer deal with them.

warrantys some times are not worth the paper there written on as the old clause w&t comes in to play or its driver error also most insist on full dealer sh now if the garrage sells u a car with some missing service stamps strait off that warranty may not be upheld and even if u are lucky and they do u will prob have to pay so much as most only pay 60-80% of the cost of repair

Check the manifold, not covered in the normal policy I think. Not interested when I had mine done....

Also make sure all servicing is invoiced, stamped in date etc etc .... One small error they won't pay out (had every one for mine since new for any job done and they happy, checked the lot)

The RAC do a good warranty. For the £119 level one,you get up to five claims per year of up to £2000 each claim, just got one on my veccy and although they require the vehicle to have been serviced within the last six months,I explained that I was on a 12 month schedule from February etc,but that I had an oil and filter change in september, and they accepted this as valid, etc etc.FELIXX.

I use warranty direct and have found them very difficult to deal with. Although they have always payed out eventually after alot of correspondance.

They do insist on all the service invoices (not stamps in the book). They check mileages and mot mileages. If there is any information missing they will decline the claim.

They will state items are not covered until you firmly quote their own hand book at them.

I would leave them but now my car is over 100,000 miles no one else will give me the same cover.

Currently they have payed out more than I've payed them so I don't mind the hassle too much now I know the way they work.

My experience has been great with Warranty Direct. Over 5 years with them on about 6 different cars (I get bored) they've paid out around £3000. Yes you have to have everything correct but if they didn't check they'd lose money. Due to the time we've been with them I'm on a £0 excess and £21.00 per month on the Vectra. That's a continuous policy so will not rise. Initially they wanted over double. If you do go with them get a quote online but don't accept it. They'll phone you the next day and haggle for your business and lower the price. Tell them my name as a referral and you'll get £25 voucher (and same for me!). Paul Rushton hint hint.
