Took a trip down to Essex today to meet up with Ian and Dean (Plasma & Soulman) who had kindly offered to help get a few bits done on our car for us.
First thing was Amy and I gave it a quick wash and cleaned the wheels up (I'd forgotten how big an estate was to wash lol). Followed by a basic service (air filter, plugs, airbox mod and new wipers all round).
Then we shunted the cars around for Dean to do a quick oil and filter change for us and following that a quick tech 2 session to find a couple of minor issues I've had with the car and enable a few things.
I've had a problem with the parking sensors and Tech 2 showed an intermittent fault registering from the outer rear left one so that will be being checked out tomorrow if the weather's ok Dean also enabled the rear electric windows and heated seats for me. Since getting home I've bought the full rear electric window kit on Ebay so those will be going in as soon as they get here.
Having now had a chance to go over the car more thoroughly in daylight there is more marks on it than I'd hoped (found a couple of dinks on the front bumper I hadn't noticed before in the dark) so a bit more work (and a lot more money) to be pumped into this than I'd originally hoped. But for a six year old car she don't look to bad (from a distance if nothing else lol).
Dean was surprised the mileage was so low, thankfully my ex didn't do masses of mileage in it, so it's only got 39k on the clock.
Tomorrow (if the weather's ok) the work continues
Big thanks to Ian and Dean for today, cheers guys
Obligatory pics from today.
The big boot has it's uses when it starts to rain
