    Default Can you measure your auto light switch?

    Can somebody with vectra auto headlight switch measure the resistant between PIN2 and PIN11, and between PIN5 and PIN11, while in "0" position?

    Thanks, just measure the resistor using a multimeter.

    To take out the switch, put it to position "0", then press the big headlight switch down(a bit hard), while pressing the button, turn it to "1", the button should now stuck "in". just pull the button and the whole switch box will go out.

    Getting the switch out is the easy bit... It's using the multimeter that I'm not familiar with, I've only ever used it to check continuity

    Between pin 2 and pin 11 = 1.8k

    between pin 5 and pin 11 = 1.8k

    all with switch in 0 position

    This is the value in my non-auto switch, also is what i expected in auto.

    I am trying to modify the switch to enable auto headlight, but when mod it to auto, it always switch on the headlight, regardless the command from REC.

    The day/night from rec can be monitored by tech2 or vauxcom. It's correct in my car, i.e. output day when in bright and output night when in dark (or cover the sensor).

    So i think it's the BDM needs programming to activate auto headlight.

    BTW, All REC seems compatible with both type of sensor.

    Sounds interesting.. now plasma has to check the BCM with tech2 to look for options for autolights in other places .
