Default help...indicator bulb change on facelift vectra...

hi every1 i seen this problem on a previous post but have come across this problem yday, i need to change the left indicator bulb(battery side) but find it reli hard to get at it, heard of 2 ways
*remove front bumper to gain access
*unbolt screen wash bottle to get acces to it(but spoke to a m8 who works at vauxhall and he said the funnel to the screenwash bottle is push fit so just pull it n shuld b able to get to the bulb)
i still havnt been able to do it... :-(

point of this post is just to see if any1 has any other tips or advice, or had the same problem...

    hiya

on n/s the washer bottle filler is snap fit. but if you look at the top there is a small push clip holding it to the front of the car. unclip this then twist - pull the filler and out she comes........

on o/s i just take the air box out. 5 mins and its done. whilst you're there you could do the air box mod and change your air filter.

    save time and money.....

no need to undo bumper unless you fancy doing something to a/c , intercooler or radiator

hi mate, even taking out the washer bottle neck and removing the airbox you will still struggle to even get your fingers in to change indicator bulbs, i know this cos i changed mine to silver ones, in all honesty, for how easy it is ,i would recommend that you remove or at the very least loosen the front bumper..good luck

Iirc, the indicator housing goes slightly into the wing, so you cannot undo them or is very difficult to undo them with the headlights in. Ideally you need to take the bumper off and remove the headlight. You just twist the housing and the whole light holder comes out, easy to change once the headlight is removed....pain in the backside though just to change one bulb.

Could be the bulb is on it's way out. I've had this on mine, just comes up with the warning now and then. Usually after I've sat in traffic with the brake lights on. It's because as the bulbs get older, the filament inside it gets thinner and worn increasing it's resistance and throwing up a bulb error occasionally, change the bulb for a new one and it should be fine. Also, check the contacts in the bulb holder are clean as they can sometimes get a bit mucky and cause a bad connection to the bulb. At least the rear lights are easier to get to and you don't have to take half the car apart to get to them!
