    Default Does this look right.

Right this isn't for the troubleshooting section or modifying section as i'm just asking for people opinion.
After fitting my FK coilovers my car has been making funny noises front and back, now i think because being fitted to a V6 the car is too heavy for the kit.
So i ordered a set of PI lowering springs to go into round 2, but looking at them i'm a bit concerned that the rears are.
    1. Not that shorter than the standards
    2. The coils in the middle are very close to each other compared to the standards.

Any comments will be greatfully received on the piccies i've added, just look how much shorter the front ones are.

    Kits going on a GSi so kit ordered was PI60/274: 45mm 1.9cdti,2.0dti,2.2dti & 3.2 v6.

    Cheers guys.

I doubt the dti ones will be ok for the v6 for this one reason

A few months back i got a set of spax 35mm dirt cheap on ebay, sellers reason for sale was that they were bought for a v6 and were not suitable

My car is a 2.2 dti

I ordered these from R-Tec in Hatfield as they were £20 cheaper there than from PI direct.
The product code is the same on PI's website and thats what they list them for.

my spax ones had v6 against the part number too, i never asked the guy who sold me them what the problem was as it wasn't relevant to me.

Also he hadn't even fitted them, they were BNIB. Which leads me to think that he found something on the net about them.

Don't let this put you off though mate, The ones you have are maybe fine

Looks right to me mate, your new springs will be progressivly wound, this is what gives you better handling but still makes potholes relativly smooth.

The 2.0/2.2dti/3.2v6 all have roughly the same front axle weight and if you look at most of the spring manufacturers their springs fit all three
