Thread: got my HIDS today, fitted, with pics!!

    Default got my HIDS today, fitted, with pics!!

    hi all got my HIDS today from HIDS DIRECT and fort id start this tread as the installation manual is confussing as hell and fort id do a how2 for them well here gos
    this iis the kit i fitted
    they looked like this after i wired them together
    put my ballast here easyest place i fort
    the cases the bulbs are in are perfect for cutting the holes out
    i know it ent perfect but it works
    then i just went round with a screwdriver
    and it looked like this...perfect
    should look like this after
    i put the red in the one with just one wire goin to it black to the one with two wires goin to it
    HID fitted
    HID not fitted
    drivers side did take my airbox out wos alot easyer my ballast is under my light as you can see from the pic
    as you can see red to the one with one wire black to the one with two wires
    looked like this after i put my airbox back in
    passanger side looked like this after
    all fitted looking good
    will get better pic when it gets darker hope this has helped anyone who is thinking of fitting HIDS there easy then they look and all done within an hour

    nice job, im thinking of doing this mod, how can you tell what sort of lights you got in the first place

    If you have factory fit Xenon/HID you will also have headlamp washers.

    When you switch HIDs on there is a slight flash as they 'ignite' and then over a few seconds you'll see them become fully bright. Typically, the light is very white.

    Unlike normal incandescent lamps which when you turn them on, the light is slightly yellowy and the brightness (or lack thereof) stays the same at all times.

    what car do you have? mines a signum 55plate facelift if that helps and the bulbs are H7. easy as hell to fit tho

    yeah just checked and cut my hand to ribbons i got h7 bulb, so this is the next mod for me as i cant see in the dark

    Doing mine this weekend, the instructions are absolutely rediculous!make no sense at all! mine is from HIDs Direct also, but only 35w.

    Excellent timing. My Hidsdirect kit arrives tomorrow. Got the same 50w kit. Thought it came with bulb holders tho, didnt see them in the pics.

    they come with bulb holders ...but 99% wont need them .
