    Smile 2.2 dti sri oil leak

    I noticed a couple of oil leaks on drive ,and when i looked i noticed oil pressure switch has a slight leak.
    Can anyone please tell me how to resolve .

    If you are refering to the sensor that is screwed into the front face of the sump, then that is the one that supplies the ecu with oil temperature info. If it is leaking around the threaded part it may just need to be tightened up a bit or if the oil is finding its way through the sensor body it will need to be replaced.

    and if its anything like the corsa ones and its broke they are only about £5 from the dealers / ebay

    thanx for that info, will check in morn.
    i did notice that there was two plugs on side of sump,the one that had slight leak tho i didn't notice a threaded part.

    on my 2.2 dti i have noticed the oil leak is not coming from threaded oil pressure switch , but the one next to that on the sump .

    any ideas what it is,

    The oil pressure switch is fitted to the rear of the engine block above the right hand side drive shaft on your car.There are two sensors on the front of the sump, one is the oil temperature sensor and the other one is the oil level sensor.

    thanks for that info , one has a screw thread and the other one isnt but seems to turn and has a slight leak .
    can you tell me if i can tighten it up if yes how as it doesnt have a thread .

    Hi does anyone know how to change oil switches on the sump of a 2.2 dti
    your help would be appreciated.
