    Default Headlamp protectors

    Hi All,

Iíve seen lots of nice pictures of your cars but I donít think I have seen any with headlamp protectors fitted.

I have them on mine after I learned an expensive lesson with a stone on my vec B .

Iíve no idea how much a headlight unit costs for a vec C (just to make as much money as possible I bet you canít buy the self levelling system separately).

    Cheers

Beavis you are right the headlamps are plastic but still like that bit of security with the extra layer saved me a fortune on my veccy "B" that had xenons as well and a big stone took out the lamp protector not the lamp would rather pay £26 for protectors than £????? for a new lamp !!!!!!

Got to be honest dont really like the look of them myself just the extra security!!!!

Got the carbon effect ones on mine and the n/s one has a small crack at the bottom corner outer edge where I had an episode with a stone. Good advert for them as otherwise it would have been a new headlight

the carbon ones seem to sit better than the clear. i had the clear but they look pants and were a real pain as all the **** from the roads would get between them and headlight.

I did not realise they did the carbon effect ones (I thought that was a style of headlight), Iíve only got the clear ones. Your totally right Graeme about the c**p getting between the two surfaces (I just take it off to clean it every couple of washes).

Iíve also had a small crack (lucky escape, no pun intended) but I sorted it with superglue.

Are the carbon effect covers a dealer part? (and why do they not suffer from dirt getting behind the cover).

    Cheers

i have a pair of carbon covers and yes they are a vx dealer part, around £37 per pair if i remember correctly.dont look great but at least if a stone hits one of them it'll be much cheaper than a new headlight unit.
