    Default 200 MPH Vectra VXR

I've been thinking about a new project and having done some research I think it might be possible to make a 200 MPH Vectra VXR...

    What do you think?

The Regal Nardo VXR had 371 BHP and did a varified top speed of 192.6 MPH GPS

The Midpoint Garage VXR has 550 Lb/ft torque

and Courtenay Sport have an Insignia VXR with 400 BHP (which is the same engine as the Vectra VXR)

So out of all the above, somewhere is the solution to a 200 MPH Vectra VXR

I think you will need a long, straight stretch of road!

But should be possible to do with the right power a gearing.

Pointless and dangerous in a car that really wasn't designed for such power delivery or speed. Is the body capable of tolerating such forces?

I can't see why it wouldn't be possible, depends on how much cash you are prepared to throw at it.

All in all it is probably do-able but I can't see the point. Probably cost more than buying a car capable of that speed out of the box.

    Up to you though.

Well, as stated above the Nardo car did 192 MPH GPS and that did several laps at once !!.. with no reported safety problems.

So whats another 8 MPH between friends

The engine was designed for that power delivery thats for certain.

My VXR now has AP Racing Brakes designed for high speed braking. Only really bettered by Ceramic Brakes.... also fitting KW Variant 2 Race Suspension Coilovers for a lowered stance (better aerodynamics and stability).... also fitting PowerFlex bushes for more stability.

Its also been suggested using steel subframe bushes welded to the car to reduce scuttle shake...

So the car is heading that way... ..... what else do I need to consider?
