Time to say good bye to the Vec.....

Well I've owned it for 3 1/2 years now, coming up to 110k, needs more money spending on it this year so think its time to trade in! Plus Im doing 17k a year now (until I can find a job closer to work!) so I need a diesel!

I've hat a love/hate relationship with my car, had snapped springs, a couple of minor prangs in the bad weather damaging paintwork I had done, having some bad bodywork done in the first place, buying some great XP2 alloys that looked the dogs then damaging them 2 weeks later after fitting new tyres and having to sell them again! Had a bad winter with the car (so much so I havent been on here since November as I was cheesed off with the car!) yet its never let me down! It always starts and get me to work and never had any major problems with it. But with needing tyres all round and a few other things this year its time to move on.

Sadly my car is worth didly squat p/x but I'd strugle to sell private with its niggles so its my only option. I had been tempted to the dark side (Ford Mondeo ) as they pretty cheap of the year but most cars I've been looking at aont in the best shape cosmetially and I wouldnt of been happy with it!

So what to do!? Well lucky enough I've found a CDTi 150 with low miles for the year, 1 owner with 19" Snowflakes! Result! Pick it up this weekend!!!

Had my kids last night and all day today so although it looks clean goin to give it a wash, clay, polish and wax tomorrow. Maybe fit my K&N, airbox mod and insignia washer jets too! And waiting for some chrome fog covers to come in the post.

A few dings/marks here and there and some missing/broken trim but all in all its not bad condition for a 6 1/2 yr old car!
