Default removing the door pillar metal outer covers

    Guys
Is there a correct way to remove the black metal covers on the outside of the door pillars??
They look like they knock of from the window side towards the door edge as theres a lip on the outer edge but i thought id get some thoughts first as i dont want to funk this up and damage anything trying..
I was ganna remove the window rubbers first from the bottom and side and try..
Mine are all stained with something and look really shat so i thought id remove them and repaint..
