    Default chrome trims

    any tips for discoloured chrome trims under the windows

    I am afraid not m8 it is usually caused by water getting under the plastic coat and is very common on the later model vecs , the only cure is to replace them , or if you have any scrappy,s near you keep an eye out for an old model the early vecs did not suffer from it

    it was about 04/05 that they started making them badly.

    Early ones still shine without tarnishing

    Are the chrome trims on the doors & boot easy to replace? My vectra hasn't got the chrome under the windows which I would like, and the one on the boot has become a little discoloured around the vectra lettering,

    Get some brasso on a detailing brush and work it in around the lettering bud, worked well on mine

    Sorry to hijack the thread lads, Ive had new doors etc put on my signum after an accident but one of the chrome strips has started to lift on the rear passenger door. Whats the best to stick it back down as i normaly just push it back down but it eventualy pops back up and every time i look throught the side mirror it ****es me off lol.
