    Default New keyfob batteries

I have replaced my keyfob battery but it still intermitantly opens and closes the doors.
Does it have to be re-coded or reset or something if the battery is removed and if it does how do you do it.

    Thanks
    Paul

If it intermittently works then it doesn't need re-syncing to the car. You only do that if it doesn't work at all.

Does your spare fob behave in the same way?

but when it does need resyncing use the key to unlock the drivers door.

    Thanks for replies

I will check the spare one but if I recall that was the same but I will check it tho.
To re sync do I just fit the battery and then open and lock the doors or is just opening them sufficient?

It should mention it in the handbook, but IIRC you also have to put the key in the ignition. On earlier Vauxhalls you had to turn the key to position two and press either of the fob buttons within something like 30 secs and the central locking would then activate to confirm syncronisation had occurred.
