Default Cdti 150 6 Speed with a Snappy Clutch ??

55 plate Cdti 150 Six Speed.

The clutch is extremely light & quite snappy, You have to be really steady with your clutch control or you are off with a bang .. The bite point is fine & there is no crunching, Grinding or slipping .. Just v little resistance from the pedal ... My initial thoughts are the Slave cylinder !! ??

The flywheel is also quite quiet with noe of the usual Dmf rattles to be heard ...

What do you all think .. I will at some point just bleed it first (Cheapest Method first) to see if that makes any difference ..

    Cheers

I have had a peek as best as you can & cannot see any signs of leaking .. but i will bleed it at some point to see if things improve at all ..

At least you don't have an aggressive clutch.

He does have an agressive clutch he said? Perhaps the DMF has seized, that would reduce the damping of transmission shock loads conciderably in theory.

I did think about that , But compared to another it just feels very light (not as heavy/hard to press) If the Dmf is seized surely clutch pedal feel would still be the same/similar between vehicles, The feel is also the same with the engines not running !!!

By aggressive I mean tight and 'heavy' , as on the little Fiat I had as my first car, very little travel to be bite point, as opposed to light and smooth which has been the case on all 3 Vec 'C's I have had.

Mine goes off with a bang if I'm too quick off the mark in 1st and 2nd, but only in the dry. In the wet I spin the wheels and torque steer, as there is no TC, unlike on my previous 2.0T pre-facelift.
