    Default DPF?

i have a reasonably large hole in my flexipipe, problem no. 2. my flexipipe is connected to what is apparently a DPF, some people have told me a cat, others have said its a DPF, now to buy a replacement is approx £750 from vauxhall, which i really dont want to pay, so... is there anything else i can do, and what are the implications of taking the DPF out completely? my power is down and i aint getting enough back pressure to the turbo. its killing me!!! plus the MOT is due soon so i need to fix this hole... please tell me somebody has another option than to buy it from vauxhall

Take it to a custom exhaust place and get them to weld in a new flexi , should only cost 60-70 quid

Not sure of any in your area, you could try powerflow as they have dealers nationwide

Will it put the spanner light on? Mines fine but good to know for the future.

That unit is a combined Cat/DPF and the flexi isn't part of that, it's a seperate pipe that joins it to the mani cat. DPF's can be got from ebay these days for about £300, should it be so blocked it wont regen. First off replace the flexi section and check all your small bore vacuum pipes that feed the turbo control valve on the slam panel for splits.

Yes, it will put the spanner light on, there is a way to stop that, but the big issue is, it will still try to regen, untill the software is removed form the ecu.
