Hello all I'm Charlie, 29yrs old. By night I cross-dress and turn tricks in the city for high rollers but by day I’m a mild mannered motorcycle courier delivering blood and collecting samples. I live West London with my Mrs and recently purchased a 2003 2.2l petrol LS. Great site and a wealth of knowledge already been soaked up by me in the last few hours.
Been a biker for 11years, had my car license for 3 but this is my first car.

Couple of newbie questions if you wouldn't mind starting me off?

1) I have tried everywhere to find a list of the specs of the Vectra but to no avail. I believe the SXI is at the top but what order do the rest go in (Design, LS, Elegance, Club ect)?

2) I'm looking for an all rounder tyre for the looming winter months. I'm Continental on all three of my bikes but wouldn't have a clue for car tyres. Usual 50/50 split on grip vs. mileage but prepared to sacrifice mileage for grip as I do like the corners. Any collective recommendations?

3) Thinking I had a blown N/S fog light bulb it turns out the bulb was fine but the 6th wire on the connector for the light assembly was missing!?. Is it only the higher spec trim cars that have duel fog lights (N/S & O/S)?

4) Hoping to put front fog lights on to mine but had a question about the wiring loom in general. Is there only one type of loom installed into all Vectras and items not fitted (ie front fogs in my case) there will be spare connectors near the bumper?. To much to hope I'm guessing.

Firstly. Hi and welcome.

The order of spec i believe goes like this,

LS,Club,Elegance,Design,SXI,SRI,GSI,Elite. I may be wrong.

Rear fog lights. only the offside works on the vectra but it is possible to wire the nearside

As for the front fog lights, they are more bother than they are worth if you don't have the loom and if you do have the loom they still need to be programmed into the cars brain using tech2. All cars had the same loom until 2004 then vauxhall started missing bits out

Easiest way to do the front fogs is hard wire them to an aftermarket switch.

As yours is an 03 plate you might have the front foglight loom in place have a look at the plug by passenger side of car in front of radiator and tell me how many wires it has.

Im in the middle of doing my 03 veccy i just need to get tech2 to try and see if my fusebox takes front fogs
