hi all, im getting a clicking noise when driving , i only notice it when windows down , noise is when car is driving straight or going round corners , is this likely to be a cv joint ? i have checked for stones etc in tyre and to temporarily cure the problem i drive with windows up and stereo on ...thoughts on possible cause please..thanks

doubtful its a cv as you would usually notice on full lock or taking up drive and it would be a knock rather than a light clicking noise.

i would double check the tyres and also check nothing is fouling the brakes

hi again folks ..still have this problem , car has passed mot since this problem has started ,obviously (i hope ) it isnt anything serious but its annoying me ...it is exactly the same , clicks when what feels like the wheel makes a full turn , it does it driving straight or round corners ...its defintley something to do with wheels as noise goes away when you stop and car idles fine...any ideas , i have checked tyres , the car has no vibration through steering at any speed ..not essential i think but is seriously doing my nut in ..i mean we get about five days of sun in scotland and when i drive round in car with windows down i have to put up with the click click click lol let me know ur thoughts...ty...
