Default AA parts and labour- inlet replacement?

Hi I have aa parts and labour and been getting limp home mode. Problem domes back to a stuck swirl valve or summat with the manifold. (1.9cdti 150) question is has anyone got his replaced under the aa? As I font think it's classed as a breakdown as car is still moving? Tho very slowly!

My swirl valves are completely shot to pieces... one of them is sitting up by almost 10mm!! and spewing cr*p all over the top of the inlet manifold and underside of the engine cover!! ... I checked my boost sensor and EGR only yesterday and both were caked full of muck... my car goes in tomorrow under warranty to have all this sorted... however throughout all this I've never had the spanner light or gone into limp mode as a result...

What might be happening in your case is that a swirl valve has jammed and your swirl bar is still attached... now this would cause the light to come on as movement of the servo on the third swirl valve will be restricted ... a quick fix 'might' be to un-clip the swirl bar from all four swirl valves to allow the synchronising servo on the third swirl valve to move more freely which will hopefully allow you to run in normal mode... and then get a few quotes (and save up!!) to have the inlet manifold changed...

However first of all you need to get the EM codes read and take a look at the inlet manifold to see what state it's in.
