Default heated seats, possible retro fit??

Has anyone seen this product before??

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MSH50-Waeco-He...item5189224f0e

I have just bought the heated seat switches for my dash, and was wondering IF these could be wired into the loom?

Was just thinking of sliding pads inbetween foam and cloth (standard sri seats)

    Could it be done??

seems like a good idea to fight cold winter. Will check tis and the schematic.

sliding pads inbetween foam and cloth? Can you do this without cutting the cloths?

DanBoy did something like this, although it was during the leather retrim he had done, but there might be some clues regarding the wiring in his posts.

I used to do auto retrims for a job a couple of years ago, and we always used Waeco if a customer wanted retro-fit heaters.
Never had a problem with them, but we used to strip down seats (to recover with leather, as that was our trade), rather than trying to slip the pads between the foam and cover, which on most cars would be impossible.

i think it was only the early pre faces that have the wiring as standard iirc. there was a thread last year regarding this.

    I'll have a hunt around
