Eek Well, I've done the deal

As per my previous thread regarding parting with the VXR. The deed is now done and for the first time in 25 years, I've ventured away from VX

It was with a major major heavy heart that I took this decision but I needed to cut back drastically on my motoring expenses whilst still having a nice car (heck I work for it, why not). Over the last few months, we have started to notice the strain just that little bit more (Anita had to drop her hours at work, I don't get any overtime anymore amongst other things ), so something had to give. Stand by for a couple of bits and pieces turning up in the For sale section, not too many though as I didn't really do anything to the VXR.

    So, what have I got...........?

    THIS!

I've lost cruise control and leather, but I've gained factory bluetooth phone, dual zone climate control and extremely healthy MPG figures as well as 'acceptable' levels of road tax cost
I have to admit, I will miss the CC as I used that a lot, but hey I'll survive.
Its a 2006 model and its only done 33500 miles with full dealer service history. Next March it is due a timing belt (75,000 or 5 years) so I mentioned it to the place selling me the car, and they are doing that for me so thats a bonus (i will be checking it's been done )

One owner from new. A retired guy apparently, and garaged all the time. It is in immaculate condition and the wheels are absolutely blemish free. Not a single kerb mark, scratch, scuff, nothing. Like new .

Also comes with a 3 year unlimited mileage parts and labour warranty. Whether that will be worth its salt..... I hope I never have to find out.

So there we have it, I will be VX bound soon enough, but saw this and thought hmmm, a breath of fresh air. Who knows, i may have an RS4 within a few years (yea right)

Yea, not bad at all. Surprisingly the boot is deeper too (as in distance from rear bumper to rear seat backrests) but not quite as wide I wouldn't have said.

Yes exactly but, as said, needs must at the moment. I hope so too mate. We have shed loads of Audis at work and they never give a jot of trouble, only ever see them for servicing. So...touch wood. This one looks as though its been really looked after though, full dealer history and all receipts kept.
