auto locking?
just a quick question i have an 04 3.0cdti sri and sometimes i forget to lock the car and just wondered is it supposed to lock itself after a certain amount of time because mine doesnt. my mate has an 03 2.2 and he says that his does. mine will lock itself if i unlock it and dont enter it so any ideas please
mine is same as urs mate...
Nope it dont lock it self... neither does your mates...
but if you unlock the car, and dont open any doors.. it will lock itself again within 1 minut (or is it 30 seconds)

Maybe he means the anti hijack feature, where the doors auto lock as you drive off?
no, he reckons that it locks when you get out after a bit but obviously he must be wrong would be a good feature to have though...
Unless you leave your only key in the car
another mate of mine has a clio and it wont lock if the key is inside the car even if you put it on the top of the roof it knows it is outside the car and then lock after a min or so
I too once heard that it did autolock if left unlocked after a random time interval. But I've never witnessed it on any of my 3 Vectra 'C's. Must be an urban myth LOL
