Whoever said it cant be done is an idiot, use the search function on here and you'll see home many people have mapped the Z20NET its one of the most tunable engines in the range. With regards to probs after the map i'm sure the company that will do it must offer some sort of warranty mate.

its doable - but dependant on Who's doing it means if they have access to the correct software for the Ecu- i indeed experienced a company GCL tuning who were in my home town and offered a deal too good to refuse - so paid my money and ...they failed to map the car

after a few weeks of trying and saying it couldnt be done - i would need to goto their head office in Birmingham or Slough - i went to Torquing BHP
and Darrell had already done Jezzy's a few weeks earlier -so i knew he could achieve it and he delivered on his promise in bucket fulls

so yes it can be done - wether they can do it at the rolling road - call em and see if they have mapped a Z20NET before - you might save yourself a wasted trip

If it was me, I'd be worried that your car might be the first Z20NET these "mondeo/vec mapping day" people had seen, so I'd be concerned where they were getting their info from regarding how much torque the gearbox can handle, how much boost the turbo can handle, etc etc. I'd take it somewhere that has done many of these engines before and isn't going to mistake it for the 2.0T in the Astra which is completely different engine.

It is not unusual for tuners to mistake the Z20NET for the Z20LET/LEH/LEL which is as Jezzy says, a completely different animal.

the car can be done, im going to neo brothers tuesday to get the maptun remap put on mine, highly recomended by the ppl on here and also when i phoned them up they said the head gaffer from maptun in sweden is coming over on wednesday for a week to work with them so it sounds like any support required will be given.

If you want i dont mind delaying mine and can ring them to try get a discount for 2 bookings and i can have a nose at that dump valve of yours

The above is the list who have proven themselves to have mapped this engine, i would not consider anyone else if im honest, its an expensive fix if you take the wrong option!
