    Default Rear Seat stuck

Just baught an 06 vectra c and love the car.
But had a load of cardboard to take to the tip the other day so folded the seat down.
I came to lift it back up and the seatbelt has locked in place so i cant get it folded back in place.
Its highly annoying so thinking that it would be an easy fix I took it to my local vauxhall dealer and after a couple of minuits of pulling at the seatbelt he said id have to book it in and warned me that it might be pricey, i said forget it because ive read that people have got it done for nothing.

Can anyone tell me or link me to somewhere that can show me how to sort it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Jamie

So the seatbelt has locked and the seat now won't move?

(as the belt is holding it in place?)
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I'm not sure I understand your question. Which belt has locked and how is it stopping the seat back from moving to the upright position?

The centre seat belt won't extend unless the seat back is in the upright and locked position. If this is the belt you need to extend to get the seat back up, you will have to close the locking mechanism on the outboard side of the larger rear seat to get it to move.

Although i would have thought you could unbolt the inertia reel and release it that way?

Sorry for the delayed replies, i thought i would get an email saying i had a reply to the thread.

Yea, it is the centre rear seat that is stuck because i cant pull out the centre seatbelt.

How do you close the locking mechanism or how do you unbolt the inertia reel?
I know these will probably seem like stupid questions but i am a noob at these cars.

    Thanks again

Problem fixed, i had enough room to take off the lower half of the seat, this allowed me access to the nut that holds down the first anchor of the centre belt and the clip for the passenger side seatbelt.
I propped up the back rest and took the nut off, this loosened the centre belt allowing me to lift the seat into possition, which let the belt run free, replaced the brackets and the nut and job done.

Thanks guys who tried to help, if i wasnt a nood i might have understood your ways lol
