    Default Windscreen Replacement

A few months back something got stuck on the drivers wiper blade and put a nice cresent scratch on my windscreen.

The car has since had an MOT and it passed no problems.

It really annoys me seeing the scratch everytime i drive, so could i have this replaced through my insurance company? Can i just call them up tell them its scratched and get the window man out to replace it?

Unless they just come out and replace without any quibbles i am not going to waste their and a my time for them to say no or try to fix.

    Any thoughts chaps?

    Rgds

As your screen is damaged and could therefore obscure your vision leading to a possible accident, then yes your are obliged to get your insurance co to pay for it, its not your fault a stone or other object got stuck in the wiper blade. The same way as it would not be your fault some idiot throws a stone up at you by driving over surface chippings at 60+ when the signs are there to warn 20mph max

Or just by a polishing kit from ebay and repair it for £13.
