All depends on the lowering and the quality of the lowering.

My 03 GTS/GSi/CDXi is sitting on Eibach pro-kit springs (Lowers by 30mm) and then on Koni Yellow adjustables. Sits at a real good height to be honest, but can probably go another 20mm lower at the front if you really want to.

Not sure on pricing for you british lads though.

Having just done this on my 06 SRi, it will only lower by another 15mm. I used the Bilstein B4 shocks all round with the Eibach Pro springs. Also replaced the drop links.

All in, the shocks and springs and drop links cost me £330 delivered from LMF

Car sits really nice now and although only having done a few miles, you can certainly feel the difference from the originals.

Also advisable to check with your insurers and make sure they're happy about it. Some don't do modded cars - which can just be a wheel change, some will but charge more. Any obvious changes need reporting. Don't let people tell you they'll never know if you have a crash - they will.

    +1 with grumpy.

I notified mine and they were more than happy that I was putting uprated springs and shocks in. Whereas a mate of mine added some performance springs to his Commodore and his excess increased. All depends on your provider.

I have just bought a GSI after retiring my Mk III cavalier which had declared suspension, brake and engine mods! I asked about transfering to the GSI and they quoted me £259 for the rest of the year (7 months). As we went through the deal he asked if the GSI had the same mods...I said it was standard, so he had to requote...............£302
