    blank your egr

    see what you get then.

sounds like your glow plug(S) need changing too.

that would be my first actions

oh and check boost sensor / clean

and vacuum hoses make sure not perished

    that covers most problems

checked all pipes got new vacuum pipes on cleaned the boost sensor and egr. The only thing I can think of is when the egr vaule was off I should have taken the erg vaule apart to check if the egr valve was working.

Looking at second photo should I be taking this apart IE the black bit from the silver bit?

Is the valve located between the two?

    Thanks

    Steve

the black bit contains the solenoid which operates the valve in the silver bit.....

i take mine apart and clean the silver bit with carb cleaner

the soleniod plunger should move freely. if it does then chances are its fine.

if not then strip it down as per the how2 and relubricate.

i did that and it works fine ever since

    cheers
