Thumbs up insignia washer jets!! good way to adjust them

hi guys just got my insignia washer jets for my vectra, as most of you will know they are a pain to adjust without the correct tool, well for iv found a great way to sort the problem without spending a penny!!! spray wd40 or duck oil on the nozzles leave for an hour or two then use a small screwdriver like xmas cracker tool DO NOT put the screwdriver in the holes there softer than sh** push on the sides of the nozzle, it wont look like its moving but being careful & checking the angle by spraying them ul soon get it perfect!! 10mins sorted!!!

so other than buying a box of christmas crackers to get a small screwdriver and a can of wd40 -you didnt spend a penny

    nice one

    - you could have made a nozzle adaptor from a biro lid that fits into the 4 adjusters like on my how2 ....or been ripped off for a fiver by someone on ebay who has copied my design

Have you got a link to that Destroyer. The jets on my Insignia need adjusting a bit.

Why do car makers do this. For years we have adjusted our washer jets using a pin. Now you need to take it to the dealer (think bumper off to put a bulb in etc) or do a bodge like this risking damaging it. This sort of thing should be outlawed.

Why would you want to change Vectra ones to this rip off?

Because they use a fraction of the volume of water spread far more evenly and once you try them would never want to revert to the garden hose design again

Not sure about using less water Derek, but they defiantly give a far more even all over spread on the windscreen. Its amazing its taken all these years for someone to finally come up with a new design for the washer, I bet it wasn't GM/VX though I do need to make an adjuster too.

I find that I need far less water to clean the screen than when you have the jets but hey may just be me?
