    Default Fumes Entering Through Vents

    Hi Folks
Fumes are entering the cabin of my 1.9cdti (150), through the air vents, this is only noticable when the car is stationary, I cant see any smoke in the engine bay or any exhaust leeks, any ideas????

Just a guess but im sure there are vents in the lower rear quarter panels, behind the bumpers. Im sure they are there to help reduce pressure when your close a door. Maybe one has jammed open and is allowing fumes into the cabin, but only a guess.

Check egr gaskets are sealing correctly and also the egr cooler at the clamps. Ensure pollen filter seated correctly and the the under bonnet bulkhead seal is there and not damaged. Might also be worth checking the breather hoses for being loose.

Sounds like the inlet manifold for sure!, gasses will be escaping via the worn flaps and get sucked in to the vent at the bottom of the windscreen.

sounds like a leak eleswhere then if you've had the manifold done!, look for sooty marks around the manifold/egr/throttle body area. also check the oil seperator and pipes s said b4.

Take the top cover of f the engine, run it and check around the base of the injectors for "chuffing" this was what it was on my 120 (only noticable when stationary)! If it is then a new seal is 50p from vaux and not a bad job to do either

    assume performance is ok.

if not check whole exhaust system from egr through to manifolds.

i assume you've ruled out other people's emissions??
