Default Might be moving the VXR on

I need to pull the belt in a bit and have been weighing up my options for a replacement for the VXR. An Insignia was mulled over and whilst the finance would have been more, the running costs would have been halved practically. I kept coming back to the finance thing and thinking that I could really do with that dropping too. So tomorrow, I am off to look at a 2006 56 plate Audi A4 1.9TDi S Line. Its up for 11999, which for what it is, is a good price, and they give you a 3 year parts and labour warranty (mind you I'll be reading that carefully lol). My finance would be less, albeit not drastically, but less is good

I'll try and get some pics so watch this space.

The Skoda 1.9 TDi in the Audi is a great engine (before you say VW 1.9TDi, it was Skoda who modernised this engine with the PD technology). If I was buying anything from the VW group, I would go for the 1.9 over the 2.0TDi every time. Better reliability, better fuel economy, and lets face it fuel economy is the only reason to buy deisel.

Not according to Audi and the 24 hour le mans ...

Economy is one aspect, but efficiency and power are the others.. very good for endurance racing ... like the M25 or M40
