Default It's remap time, but which one on the z20net?

I will be ordering a hand help remap unit today or tomorro so which one do you guys recomend, the two i have in mind are the bsr stage 1 from LMF but do you have to pay £80 every year or two for the support or is that optional and if i dont have the support does it realy matter. Or the other unit is the hand held one by maptune from Neo brothers stage 1, will my engine cope with any of these remaps with standard parts on it? i dont want to ****** up the injectors, pistons or start and get clutch slip

I would go with Maptun from Neo Bros.. at least you get support from them... They used be BSR agents but binned them and move to Maptun.

also if your just planning on putting a map on and NOT removing it - then a map on its own without any PPC based unit would be at last half the price your considering .... another spanner in the works so to speak

i can reccomend Torquing BHP for around 220bhp and a very large smile on your way home

BSR Stage 1 remaps and I dare say some other tuners' equivalent maps are specifically designed to run on cars in standard tune and with the standard configuration.

I've had no problems at all with BSR stage 1 on a standard car. Their quoted figures are also effectively the minimum you can expect for a standard car.

They said 204bhp for my old standard 04-plate 2.0T and I got 222bhp on the rollers.

no it wont be affected - the updates seemed to be few and far between now as most of the "issues" would have been reolved very early on ....
its a tried and tested method - but it seems to leave an awful bad taste in peoples mouths now that you have to pay for the support ..... that is still painfully slow ....ask Soulman who's PPC gave up the ghost locked him out of the unit and he had no map on the car - thats an expensive paper weight .... he was then in confalb with BSR for several weeks trying to resolve the matter with them saying he needed to pay for support - depsite them changing the original terms and conditions of the sale which he had not agreed to (it used to be lifetime support but all details of this have dissapeared from everywhere!)
