I know I could just ask them myself but…. did you happen to ask the cost of physically removing the DPF and replacing it with a “straight through” pipe as well as the software alterations?

DPF is a money timebomb, just waiting to go off IMO, and at some point I’d like to remove it altogether

    Hi
I have just had my ecu software altered by Mas performance, it cost £180, about the going rate.
Your best bet then is to take the car to an exhaust company (not like kwik fit) and have them remove the internals of your DPF. Its just a case of cutting it open, removing all the metal work and soot of course, then rewelding it back together. It cost me £50 + vat, and that way from underneath the car still looks standard. If you replace the DPF with a piece of tube, you have to have a boss welded on for the exhaust sensor, Also the two sensor tubes would have to be cable tied up out of the way or something. Alls thats left to do then, is sit back and enjoy the extra performance and fuel economy .

The DPF removal / pipe replacement / internals removal etc. may be key to the price. I too have been in contact with them today, and for £350 I get the pipe - and I assume any boss for exhaust sensor, although it wasn't mentioned - DPF deleted from the ECU software, and a remap. I haven't gone in to specific details yet, just wanted a ball park figure.

So, are they any good? Anybody?
