    Hi everyone

    i currently own an Astra Coupe Turbo but am looking to do a deal on a Signum Elite 120PS 1.9

    can you let me know what kind of things i need to look out for and particularly what they like with high mileage as i am looking at one with 115k on the clock

    Im a DTI man but i think its mainly swirls flaps,EGR valve,DMF that cause the most grief plus with that mileage i would check service history and cam belt replacement.
    All though i think the 120 doesn't have as many problems as the 150 but i could be wrong

    Well the good news is that 120's don't have swirl flaps. DMF failure will result in a rattle from the flywheel and possible vibration coming through the clutch pedal. EGR faults will show up with the car being low on power under 2000rpm or/and the eml light on the dash board.

    As bigmac said though problems with the 120 are alot less common than the 150, and

    120's are considered more reliable and dont have swirl flaps. Yes, EGR and DMF can be problamatic as on the 150, lucky of the draw really. As Bigmac says, check history and for piece of mind, have the cambelt and water pump checked or changed anyway.
