How do you tell what engine a car has. i'm about to list a 1.9cdti for sale but unsure if its a 120 or 150.

Its a z19dth if this helps

Sounds like a 150 but i couln't tell you from an engine code , however if you open the bonnet, if the oil filler cap sits at the bottom left then it is a 120, if it sits to the right of the engine it is the 150.

yep, z19dth is the 150 the z19dt is the 120

Weren't some of the astra CDTi 120's detuned 150's?

Could have been the same for some of the Vecs

Not always the case swirl flaps

Have they got the log book mate, go with what thats says, that would be easiest

Confused John m8, if he follows my advice, the oil cap position is a foolproof check. Difference in the Astra (but I assumed it was a Vec), as some of the 120's in the Astra supposedly were the 16V unit - tuned down from 150 to 120.
