Never seen/heard if these before, the 2 major boxes to look for are dtuk or caterman, sometimes they flag up for sale on here cheap

However if your looking for a good value box, try a diesel express box, I put one on as a temp measure before getting a dtuk/caterman or remap, and it's still on! I was more than impressed with increased performance so I decided to keep it on!

Boxes are much the same technically, so be wary of any outrageous power and torque claims because each car will perform differently with the same box on. Be very wary of the ones that aren't adjustable because they can either underperform or overfuel.

There are still some analog boxes out there, but most are digital and the signal can be varied on these so that the ECUs original signal is manipulated to put more fuel in as the voltage is increased or even decreased with regards to the original signals voltage. Analog boxes cannot do this.

There are boxes that come with connectors for the injectors and now there is one that comes with a seperate 'box' that 'manipulates' the signal of your turbo boost sensor...hmmm.

Boxes only fool the fuel pump and do not alter injection timing or take into account rpms or any other parameters that a remap (sometimes) does.

The other thing to remember with boxes is that you can never trust your onboard computer ever again.

Your ECU thinks that it's travelling along using less fuel for a given speed and load, but it doesn't realise that the 'box' is making up the difference without its knowing.

I know remaps are better for engine than box, but the only thing that moved me to a box, is that it is tranferable from car to car, and also IF it ever went up for sale, some people may be put off knowing that it has had a remap, were as if it was boxed, it can just be removed
