    The real issue with the DMF rattling is a wrecked starter motor/solenoid.

    the dmf noise is diff mate, put ur clutch in half way and listen for a noise while at idle.

    if yours has been doing it for ages mate that gives me alot of relief tbh

    Well 40k of rattling so far have a mate with a skoda taxi that rattled for nigh on 100k before the clutch finally went

    Mine has been doing for 84k Gearbox is no more notchy than normal despite what the prophet of doom says.

    not to try and hi jack a thread about DMF but i had a rattle over bumps start on my siggy, changed the drop links, problem solved.

    If it's rattling it's broke. Get it fixed. Simples.

    It may rattle forever (as I said) or it may explode into a million pieces and take out the clutch/gearbox and crankshaft with it (pictures to prove, but too many kbs to post). The choice is yours.

    What a surprise - 84k --- I will leave it till it goes - but that could be yesterday/today/tormorrow or in another life.....

    If it takes out the gearbox and crank I assume you'll scrap the car and if thats the case I want first dibs on your snowys lol
