    Default heated seat problems

    hi guys, iv just gone to use my heated seats today for the 1st time and the light comes on for a min or so then starts to flash? same on the passenger seat as well? then i turned of and re tried it and it didnt light up then it did and just the same on the passenger side to..strange one! anyonw know if i can fix it or is it into the dealers and get my wallet out?

    Have you checked the fuses? They will be listed in the manual and are located in the rear fuse box - passenger side boot cubbyhole.

    i will check mate.but i thought if the fuse had gone it would be totaly dead and not light up at all

    No, because the fuse is for the heater pad, not the switch.

    Its probably not that as they are fused seperately. Front left and front right but always start with the simple things.

    If you have access to a multimeter then you can check continuity through the heat pads from the same fuse holders in the rear box. If you haven't then check the connectors under the seats as they may come apart - although this should also bring on the air bag lights.

    well iv just been trying this today and the fues was blown 15a so i replaced it and it blew again straight away, so i put a 30a in and it blew that as well
