to be honest no idea think their is a plug in the head lining for the mirror, auto wiper sensor and auto headlamp sensor as all linked. think the rec control unit would be different to.

Even if your car isn't ready for it, it's an easy retrofit. The auto dim mirror is a stand alone unit that will work in any car with a postivie and negative feed

No but by fitting that roof loom i'm sure it gives you the wiring for the rear interior light too

Well when I fitted mine, the room loom had nothing to do with the rear interior lamps ....

... fitting the correct loom means no messing about bodging connections. Fit the kit (as per the How2) and it will more than likely work correctly (the auto dim sensors and the 'ambient light' down pointing amber lamp). If it desn't then you still have a perfectly good interior mirror until you find someone with either a tech II or Op-Com available.

i didn't have the loom in my 06 plate sri cdti150 but with a little extra wiring and a bit of solder its all in working fine . If you take out the interior light unit the loom will be tucked up there if its fitted but don`t be surprised if you have not got it. to add the vxl loom it needs to be run from the relay unit in the boot so its a roof lining out job so i cheated and took 2 feeds from the interior light unit and a 12v ignition live off the cig lighter
