GSI Trade in Value

Hi all,

Some of you may be aware that I have ordered a Focus ST for 1st september..... !

As posted previously, the garage have offered a really low px value. I have been trying to find the "real" trade in value of the car, but it apears not to be included in the Glassers guide.

Could anyone help me to find the real trade in value (although i'm defecting to dark side )!!??

The car is 2003 (53) 3.2 V6 Gsi, with 40K millage. The car has full service history and i'm the 4th owner. There is warrenty left on the car till November this year.

Assuming yours is a manual, the Glass' guide on the Vx website gives this for your car....

Excellent condition: £7510
Average condition: £6720
Below average condition: £5910

I have had a phone call from the dealer saying it's at the garage waiting to be registed etc, so looks good for september the 1st.

To be honest i don't know if I can be bothered to sell the car privately as all I want is the trade in value doe the car. Can't be bothered with all the hassel of private buyers.

The problem is that the car has a very specialised market, not many people want big engined cars these days.

Yep, that's trade-in prices.

Seeing as you've got 2-3 weeks, is it worth giving a private sale a shot? People are still after those cars - and you'll get a good bit more money than the trade-in values.

Might be worth a try then. Will post it up on the for sale section soon and see what happens.

Have had a look through the Autotrader and seems to be a few on there, but more money than I want for mine.
